Research

The principal research topic was intracellular protein trafficking using methods of cell culture and molecular biology.
In July 2007 a project of the call for basic research in 2006 was accepted by CONACyT.
Title: "Numb - the missing link in P-selectin internalisation?" (Duration: 3 years)

On 13.03.2008 the university started to construct the necessary cell biology laboratory. Only about one month later, on the 21.04.2008 was the official inauguration of the Cell Biology Laboratory with the General Rector of the University of Guadalajara, Mtro. Carlos Briseño (†); although several details were still missing.

Nowadays, and the CBL better equipped, our focus changed to cytotoxic studies of extracts from medicinal plants, food additives or biocompatibility of nanomaterials.
